Intriguingly the lot was accompanied by an open letter from Grant in praise of Whitten so perhaps they were friends

lower half of the figure right immediately and that has stayed pretty much the same but it has taken me about two years on and off to get the perfect face

I bought this from the great Grant Waters the author of the eponymous Art Dictionary and it has hung in my last two houses

while simultaneously the towns and countryside races past
